First time at Redeemer?
If you’re looking for a church to call home, just visiting or whether you’re exploring faith and checking church out for the first time we believe there's a place for you here and we look forward to meeting you.
What should I wear?
We want every person who comes to feel relaxed & comfortable. There’s no need to dress up, most people dress casually, just wear whatever you’d usually put on.
Where can I park?
The Sunday service venue at Plymouth Albion RFC, PL1 4NE has plenty of free parking which is clearly sign posted as you turn into the road. The St. Barnabas Terrace venue has a small car park to the side of the building which you are very welcome to use if space is available. There is also plenty of free on and off street parking near the building as well as a pay and display car park on Stuart Road, about a 5 minute walk from the building.
What about my kids?
We have a full range of activities for Under 5's and Primary school age children. Redeemer Youth meet on alternate Sundays during the service. For more details about all our kids and youth work please visit the Kids & Youth pages under the heading 'Sundays'.
Is there disabled access?
Both of our venues offer excellent disabled facilities.
What can I expect during the service itself?
Our Sunday service starts at 10:30am. Doors open from 10am. The cafe area is open for you to grab a drink from after the service. If you get there late, don’t worry, just come right in and our Welcome team will help you find a seat.
The service is designed so that everyone should feel included, welcomed, and able to follow. Our hope is that people who think of themselves as far from faith, sceptical of Christianity, and non-fluent in ‘God-talk’ should be able to follow the service and its content.
When the service starts the host will give you a brief outline for the morning. After that the band will lead us in a few songs. Most people stand for this part of the service but there is no obligation for anyone to do so, so please feel free to sit if you wish. The words will appear on a big screen so people are able to sing along. If you are not familiar with the songs please feel free just to enjoy the words and listen. Sometimes people from the congregation will pray out loud, read from the bible or share something they feel God wants to encourage us with. Following on from that there will be announcements. Then we listen to a talk from one of the leaders at Redeemer that shows the relevance of the truth found in the Bible and how we can apply it to our lives today. Sometimes there will be the opportunity for people to respond to what has been shared. The host will make it really clear what to do if you would like to respond and a team from Redeemer will be ready to listen, answer questions or pray with you. If you brought kids with you and they have gone out to Redeemer Kids please collect them as soon as the service ends. After the service we’d love to catch up with you some more, so please feel free to grab a drink from the refreshments area and connect with one of the team.
